tributes

SBIFF awards five Oscar-worthy stars each Festival year. The Tributes consist of a thought provoking on-stage interview, a film montage and award ceremony.

panels

SBIFF’s Panel series brings together industry professionals for a lively, informative and revealing panel discussion. This year’s panels include Director’s, Writer’s, Composer’s, Producer’s, and Women in the Business.

special screenings

The Opening Night Film, Centerpiece Screening and Closing Night Film are special screenings, with talent in attendance, held at the Arlington Theatre.

sidebars

Sidebars are collections of films centered around a common theme that complement the Festival's films. This year's Sidebars include To the Maxxx, Latino Cinemedia, EastXWest, Reel Nature and the Apple Box Family Film Festival.

Experience an intimate dialogue with some of the year's outstanding indie performers.

10-10-10

The 10-10-10 Student Screenwriting and Filmmaking Programs are events in which 10 filmmaking teams produce 10 short films in the first 10 days of the Festival.
