Before submitting an application for volunteering, please read the following information.

Each year the Santa Barbara International Film Festival brings together a dedicated team of volunteers to help ensure Festival patrons and guests have the best film-going experience possible. As a non-profit organization we are grateful for the considerable contributions made by our volunteers each and every year, and know that we could not present the Festival without their hard work and dedication.
 
Film Festival Volunteers
 
We will begin reviewing volunteer applications for the 2007 Film Festival in December 2006.

Volunteers may work long hours, ideally committing to several multiple-hour shifts during the 11 days of the Festival. In exchange, they become a vital member of the Santa Barbara Film Festival family, getting a chance to see some unique films and gain an exclusive hands-on, behind the scenes glimpse of the Film Festival in action.

Approximately 400 full and part-time volunteers will be needed for the 2007 Festival. All Festival events, (films, panel discussions, special events, etc.), are essentially run by a team of volunteers. Volunteers form the backbone of the Film Festival, helping out in all areas, from ticket taking and theatre operations, to general office help, technical operations and much more.

As the Festival nears please regularly review our website for updates on the program, ticketing procedures, and volunteer information.

If you wish to volunteer for the 2007 Film Festival you must complete our online sign-up form, and attend one of the following orientation meetings:
